Summer is here! Bringing plenty of events and activities you could join without breaking the bank. What’s the best way to spend a summer than a FREE outdoor cinema trip with a couple of mates?
That’s exactly what Barclaycard’s British Summer Time (BST) in Hyde Park hosted with junction of Coca Cola; they showed films related to a certain theme each night:
We went to watch the brilliant 80s classic – The Breakfast Club. I shall not go into the details of the movie but it’s general premise is that five kids representing different high-school stereotypes attempt to ward off boredom during an 8-hour long Saturday detention. Hilarity (and the occasional tear) ensues…
Coca Cola Film Nights was one of the many activities available at the free Open House. A host of weekday activities in between two weekends of exciting musical line-ups featuring big names such as Kendrick Lamar, Florence + the Machine, the legendary Stevie Wonder and so much more.
On offer will be FREE open-air movie nights, daily tennis screenings, street food stalls, daytime DJs, live music and entertainment, free badminton sessions, ping pong and much more. Not to mention the Barclaycard Betterview platform offering amazing views of Hyde Park and London’s skyline from 100ft above the ground – for free! – [BST Hype Park FAQ]
It’s a great day out with a handful of friends just sit back, relax and enjoy the movie in the surprisingly nice London weather. Unfortunately, this marks the end of Coca Cola Film Nights but there are plenty of others to choose from. Keep your eyes peeled and regularly check Google or Time Out for your outdoor cinema fix.
Until Next Time,
